Holistic IFS Therapy - Southborough, MA
Moving through life, we inevitably encounter hurts, wounds, fears, and pains. In response, we create protective armor and defensive patterns to shield ourselves from reliving these painful experiences. While these coping mechanisms are meant to protect us, they often end up trapping us in cycles of worry, stress, self-judgment, overwork, anxiety, depression, and disconnection. What was once a source of safety can ultimately distance us from our truest selves and open hearts. Through IFS and holistic therapy, we can explore and understand these parts of ourselves with fresh insights and a broader perspective.
IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a powerful therapeutic approach that enhances our innate self-compassion. Through mindful awareness, we cultivate deeper connections with the patterns and unresolved areas in our lives. Many individuals who engage with IFS report that it feels uniquely transformative and more effective than other therapies or tools they've encountered.
Our bodies hold the stories of our lives. By learning to speak the language of the body, we gain the ability to access and release what no longer serves us. I use a holistic, integrative approach that draws from Somatic Experiencing (SE), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Hakomi, and Buddhist meditation to guide this healing process.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a renowned trauma therapy that uses bilateral stimulation to access and process traumatic memories. As one of the most extensively researched and effective trauma treatments. In addition to treating trauma, EMDR has also been shown to be highly effective in addressing a wide range of emotional distress.
I currently have availability for in-person sessions daytime on Mondays and Tuesdays. I do not currently have virtual openings.
